Initial Consultation
From there we'll arrange a convenient time for me to visit you for a FREE initial consultation. I always allow plenty of time for this first visit to ensure we discuss your garden design project in some detail, I get a good understanding of your requirements and I take an initial look at your garden. This session also provides you with an opportunity to see some of my previous design work.
Garden Design Client Brief
Following my visit I will prepare a written Client Brief and quotation for your design. This will include a summary of your key requirements, confirmation of what I will deliver to you for the project and my fees for undertaking the work.
I will provide you with two copies of the Client Brief - one for you to keep and a second copy for you to sign and return to me.
Site Survey
The next stage would be for me to visit the garden and undertaking for a full site survey, during which I will take photographs, detailed measurements of the site, a compass reading and a soil sample to make sure we only use plants that are going to thrive in the conditions.
Initial Garden Design
Using all the information and a knowledge of your requirements, I will prepare a preliminary outline plan showing the main elements of the design.
At this stage I would arrange to meet you to talk through the design and discuss your thoughts. This allows me to make any adaptations before I refine the plan, add more detail and complete your garden design.
If required, I will return to the garden with a trusted landscaper in order to cost the design build. Therefore, if this option is requested, when the final design is handed-over, it will be accompanied by a quote for the build. There is no obligation to proceed with this quote and you are free to use any landscaper of your choice.
Final Garden Design
The final garden design will be hand drawn scale plan, colour rendered, with appropriate annotations and provided in a protective folder.
Only at this stage, once the final design is delivered are the design fees payable.
The completed garden design will be unique - an individual design based on your needs and lifestyle, your house, your garden features and conditions and the surroundings. |
